Your perfect smile is a click away!

Invisalign

If you have crooked, uneven, or gapped teeth, you may have considered braces. But the thought of a mouth full of metal that comes along with traditional braces might be unappealing. Now many people can get the straight teeth they’ve longed for without the brackets, wires, and metal.

Invisalign is an effective solution for many people to get the perfect smile they’ve always dreamed of. Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you won’t have hassles with eating, and you can brush and floss effectively. And because they are clear, you won’t have the esthetic concerns that come along with metal braces.

At the North Shore Center of Dental Health, our orthodontist Dr. Ronald Metelka can answer all your questions about Invisalign clear aligners. Let us show you how Invisalign can transform your smile in a matter of months!

How Does Invisalign Work?

At your initial, no-charge consultation with Dr. Metelka, we will determine if Invisalign is the best choice for you. If you are a candidate for Invisalign, we will take custom impressions of your teeth along with photographs and x-rays as needed.

Invisalign will create a custom set of aligners that will fit tightly over your teeth. These aligners will need to be worn a minimum of 22 hours a day; they will gently shift and reposition your teeth as the days and weeks go by.

You will change aligners approximately every two weeks until your smile transformation is complete. The entire process can take less time than traditional braces!

Is Invisalign a Good Option for Teens?

Yes! Teens are much more likely to get a boost of self-esteem wearing aligners versus metal braces. The Invisalign Teen system includes an “indicator” in the aligners that will show whether the teen is wearing the aligners as prescribed, so no more “Yes, Mom, I’m wearing my aligners”— the proof is there!

Are You a Good Candidate for Invisalign?

Patients who have good oral health with no signs of gum disease are perfect candidates for this innovative teeth straightening system.

Is Invisalign Treatment Painful?

As with any form of orthodontics, you can expect some mild discomfort in the initial stages as the aligners slowly begin to move your teeth.
